I am Larkn! I sing, songwrite, arrange, produce, engineer and organize. Music has been my passion since the young age so I went to Berklee College of Music and moved to Los Angeles where I worked odd jobs and interned for music publishers and record labels (while working on songs on the side).

 

Some of my notable achievements were singing back up vocals at Hotel Cafe and Viper Room and "hacking it" in general in California as a waitress while making friends with and collaborating with music producers. I moved back to Michigan in 2018, started a record label in Ann Arbor, Michigan and have played at all of these rad Michigan venues: The Music Factory Battle Creek, Ziggys in Ypsilanti, The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, Token Lounge in Westland and Ghostlight Bar in Hamtramck in Detroit! 

After many years of songwriting, at some point it "clicked," and I logically began sharing and recording music (and haven't looked back!). I obtained an audio engineering certificate from Washtenaw Community College where I worked on and recorded five of my original songs. My six song EP Make it the Most! was recorded in Ann Arbor, Michigan at Big Sky Recording and my first full length album is around the corner!

​I usually play in a band that is comprised of myself on rhythm guitar with drums, electric bass and lead guitar.
