Bio
Larkn is an accomplished singer, songwriter, music producer and organizer from Clarkston, Michigan. She attended Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) and spent six years in LA studying the music business and working on song demos. Her introduction to music was through classical piano and voice and singing throughout childhood in church and school choir. Apart from her soulful roots and classical roots, Larkn carved her own style from an absorption and integration of a number of her favorite music artists and singers from Steve Wonder to Van Morrison to her favorite high school music artist, indie songwriter Anna Nalick (Breathe/2 A.M.). Growing up in the 90s over a series of muggy Midwest summers, her music contains elements of female pop alt, post-90s grudge, a mesh of mainstream country and Americana music, combined with her own version of LA experimentation. Her music brings hearty, warm, homey soulful vibes with relatable, candid lyrics. Her self-produced, six song debut EP, Make it the Most is expected to be released summer of 2024.
